Artist Statement Rough Draft:
Time Will Tell
The series focuses on the development of women since the early 1900's, however it also depicts how women have remained the same. The appearance of women may change but their morales and beliefs remain the same. The pieces focus on the change in fashion and cultural values but depict the same morales and beliefs. To depict this, I used the same model in each frame. Then, I manipulated colors, apparel, and the background to convey the culture of the time period. To show the consistency of a woman, her pose and thoughts remain the same. I see the series being used in the historical fashion sector.

Influential Art:
I was inspired be looking at the covers of magazines from different time periods especially Vogue and Bazaar. Each of these illustrate the woman of the time period and shows the change over time.

I am also inspired by old album covers such as Juice Newton and Barbara Streisand. They were fashion figures of the time and their covers depict these styles.

I am inspired by Andy Warhol because of his use of series and how he manipulates each frame. I am inspired by his techniques mare then subjects.

Blog 3- Final Inspiration...Alexandra V Bach

Alexandra V Bach

I find her work to be inspiring because she to focuses on the struggles of girls. Her big ideas revolve around depicting why the woman is broken inside. I am inspired by the techniques she uses to convey her messages. I think by incorporating her broken glass technique and the scratching on the picture I can improve my own work. I want to portray the idea of loneliness and her piece has provided my technical and stylistic ways to do so.

Blog 3- Final Inspiration...Piergiorgio Rozza

Piergiorgio Rozza
I find the work of Piergiorgio Rozza to be inspirational. His Big Ideas focus on the complexity of the human; mentally, physically, and emotionally. The way he conveys his message is appealing to me. The complexity and originality of his pieces are appealing to me. His works are aesthetically beautiful. His ideas are similar to my focus of the complexity of the human thought and emotion.
This photograph fits within my focus of inner struggle of woman. Stylistically I am drawn to the angle and orientation of the photograph along with the detailed shadowing. By incorporating these concepts I feel they will make my work stronger.

This photograph explores the complexity of the human by extracting the pieces from the whole. Stylistically I find this piece interesting and different. Incorporating this into my work will not only improve it, but it will challenge me to grow as a photoshop artist.
